Salary: £9.00 Per Hour plus Depending on experience

Hours: Full Time (8.30am – 5pm)

Job Description:

Main responsibilities:

The main responsibilities are to greet all visitors to the Care home, ensuring they feel comfortable and welcome in the Home. To receive, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages. To assist the Home with general admin duties. Working under the supervision of the director, home manager, deputy manager, and admin staff. 


  • Greet all visitors to the Home
  • Receive, direct and relay telephone calls to the Home
  • Ensure the visitor’s book is completed by all visitors.
  • Distribute the post daily
  • Keep the Reception area clean and tidy at all times
  • Make bookings for hairdresser/chiropodist
  • Make bookings for patient transport
  • Send fax messages for the home
  • Reply promptly to emails as and when authorised by the management.
  • General admin duties – typing, filing, photocopying etc.
  • Ensuring security is maintained at all times

Ideal Receptionist candidates should have:

  • A good telephone manner and communication skills. 
  • A Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • The ability to work on own initiative and within a team
  • Experience in a customer service environment
